The Family Members:
- Shiva: At the center of this set, you’ll find Lord Shiva. He’s a powerful and respected god in Hinduism, often shown with a third eye on his forehead and a snake around his neck. He represents many things, including destruction and creation.
- Parvati: Right beside Shiva, there’s Parvati. She is his wife and a goddess. She is usually shown as a graceful lady with various symbols, and she represents love and devotion.
- Ganesh (Ganesha): This family also includes Ganesh, whom we talked about earlier. He’s the elephant-headed god known for removing obstacles. You’ll recognize him by his elephant head and a big belly.
- Kartik (Kartikeya): Another member is Kartik, also known as Kartikeya or Murugan. He is Ganesha’s brother and represents courage and wisdom. He’s usually depicted as a young warrior riding a peacock.
- Shivling: In this set, there’s also a Shivling. It’s a sacred symbol of Lord Shiva and represents his divine presence. The Shivling is often worshipped with great devotion.
- Nandi: Lastly, you’ll see Nandi. Nandi is a bull and serves as Lord Shiva’s loyal vehicle. It’s a symbol of strength and devotion.
